Is it possible? This years raffle was even better than last year's! Thanks again to DJ Craig Emmett and caterer IGA. Thanks, too, to all who attended for helping us to raise money for the club. We couldn't do it without you! Tickets for next years event will be available beginning this summer.
The 2007 Horseshow was an excellent schooling opportunity for our riders. Classes ranged from Huntseat Performance Classes to Western Pleasure, to Games. The big crowd pleaser was the Horse and Hound class, which brought a smile to every face. We hope to have pictures up on this site soon. Many thanks to all of our sponsors!
Our Executive Board made a few changes to the club practices and by-laws at their meeting on the 10th of April. Meetings will now be held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Term limits for officers have been extended. Terms of use for club facilities by non-members were clarified. Memberships will henceforth be renewable in fall, rather than January. Elections will be held in September.
The 2006 Boots & Saddle Club Annual Horse Show was held in spite of the "Storm of the Millenium" hitting the area just two days before the event. The only damage sustained by club facilities was to the driveway, where some of the gravel was washed away, leaving it slightly rutted. The building and arena footing were unscathed.
Attendance at the event was understandably low compared to previous years, as many people were salvaging what they could from their flooded homes, and cleaning up the aftermath. Those who did attend had a wonderful time, including High-Point winners Jenna Alfieri and her horse Token. Congratulations Jenna and Token!
